Things learned in Chemistry section

the struggle is real if you'll be assigned in chem.. why?

Having MINDRAY BS300 as our machine, here are the things that we should look at:
  • should avoid probe collisions! I always check the reagents open before running tests
  • controls should reach the target value or at least within range..
  • ensuring there is sufficient reagent available
  • pipetting stuffs like preparing Creatinine, Total and Direct Bilirubin and SGOT
  • correlating results
  • Rerunning to assure abnormal or panic values
  • Diluting samples if there's any linearity
  • checking the distilled water and its waste tank regularly
  • Calibrate when using new reagents (only when it has a different LOT NUMBER)
Hoping that the company would replace a COBAS E11 over this. :-)

ALL OF ME

Now that I have money of my own. I need to help my family as hard as I could.

Every 15th day of the month comes, I see to it that I give all of my salary to mother.
It really hurts me everytime I heard my mother worrying all of the expenses of the house.

If I could turn my body into two, I would do anything just to shoulder all the debts and bills that we have. But sad to say, I can't. My salary isn't enough to cover all that we need.

My mates are always telling me that I'm too serious with my life but who couldn't be serious when your family depends on you? Sometimes, I just don't know what to do when mother would tell me that starting this month she would get less with her salary since she loaned a sum of money.

Sometimes, when I don't know how to hide my problems anymore, I wish I could find some space being alone and cry out all these burdens. I realize that you have to endure everything even forget yourself for a while to provide your family all they need. Another thing that I worry about is how could I get my siblings go on with their education? With Cherry taking up Dentistry and Kenneth in a private school, how would my salary help them when exam comes? That's why I'm sorry my salary is too low, I couldn't shoulder it all. I also blame myself. Whew!

Lucky for others who got a job with a higher pay. While they are going out in parties during pay roll, I on the other hand would go straight to the house. Despite of that, I'm happy to hand all my money to mother. Seeing both of my parents happy as I'm now making a living makes all of my effort worth it. Finally, that would pay some of our bills and buy some groceries still.

But despite of this, I'm still thankful for the work that I have. I've got a nice workplace, good people and a great experience each day. For now, I will do anything to keep my family safe and secure. I know God is with me all the time. All of this is for them.. as long as I could, I will give them all of me.

How I completed my requirements?

Before I started my work, I was given only 3 days to comply all my requirements. As I saw them on the list, I'm not sure if I could give them all at once.

BUT I HAVE TO DO IT!

In those days I have to endure waiting and filling up forms, there was this ONE WOMAN who was with me who endured more in waiting and kept me company to the places I need to go. This is no other than my aunt, Antie Inday.

Yes, I know I should have done this alone but honestly, I'm not so familiar with what government agencies to go and Mother couldn't go with me. So come with me as how did I get my requirements in just a few days.

All you have to do is organize a schedule ahead of time. Think what comes first just as what I did.

1. How to get a BARANGAY CLEARANCE?
  • Go to your nearest Barangay Hall (where you belong)
  • Make sure you are a REGISTERED VOTER. As for me, the Barangay captain explained to me why it is so important to be a registered voter...So that they will have a record of you (in case if the company HR inquires) and a proof that you are truly a resident of this area.
  • Pay the necessary amount (but as for my case, it was free)
If not a registered voter, go to the COMELEC office near you. Just present a valid ID, fill up the given forms, and proceed to the biometrics.

2. How to get a POLICE CLEARANCE?
  • This time, you SHOULD have your barangay clearance with you, along with a photocopy of your NSO certificate.
  • If you're living in the provinces, you just have to go straight to your respective police station and pay for your clearance.
  • If you're living in CEBU CITY, there's only ONE BRANCH that issues POLICE CLEARANCES...that's within the White Gold Club area.
  • Pay 190 pesos
3. How to get NBI CLEARANCE?
  • Do the online registration right away, go to http://clearance.nbi.gov.ph/. and fill up some important data.
  • After following some steps, it will be your option if you pay it thru bank or thru bayad centers. Take note the request number given to you (this will serve as your tracking number too). I paid 140 pesos for this. Keep the receipt once paid.
  • Go straight to NBI office and give the receipt to the RECEIVING window. Wait until it's your turn to validate your data and your biometrics.
  • There will be NO problem if you are 'NO HIT'. If this is the case, wait to claim your clearance.
  • For those people who are "WITH HIT", you have to wait 15 days or so to get it. The agency might verify it if you have no records whatsoever.
4. How to get TIN # ? What agency?
  • First things first: It is best to get the form from the company you're working (if they have it) and ask a LETTER from your manager stating that you are working in their company and they are in need of your TIN number and so on. Should the accomplished form has the SIGN of the manager or the administrator of the company you'll be working.
  • At that time, I was asked to download the form through their website. Just search 'BIR form 1902' and it will come right after. This is the APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION for newbies like me,
  • Go to the nearest BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue) branch
  • Fill it up and hand it over to the person in-charge together with the letter. Wait for a few minutes to encode your data
  • After which, they will just inform you that it's done and the company will do the rest of the process to get your TIN number.
5. PHILHEALTH and SSS
  • I was registered to PHILHEALTH and SSS in Robinson's mall, the Lingkod Pinoy center. First, get your priority number and once called, fill up the forms.
  • Get ready with your NSO birth certificate and its photocopy.
  • Just easy as 1-2-3 and you can have your PHILHEALTH and SSS number!
6. HEALTH CERTIFICATE
  • Before you go the CITY HEALTH CENTER, have your pre-employment examination first :-) I just had my medical exam in Total health check diagnostics obviously. The laboratory exams consist of CBC, Urinalysis, Hepatitis B Screening, Pregnancy test, Drug test and X-ray.
  • Bring the x-ray film with you to the City Health.
  • Pay the required amount and they will hand you a somewhat health card that you are indeed healthy without any bad condition.
7. OTHERS

  • You must have your TOR/Diploma already from the school you graduated
  • Your birth certificate must be NSO/PSA authenticated
  • BOARD RATING and LICENSE should be claimed from PRC (Professional Regulation Commission)
And I have completed these requirements for three days. I know some can do it in a day or two but thank God I was able to comply them before I started to work. Thank God, you were there with us.
